Khaki drill
North Africa and the Mediterranean

In the early campaigns in North Africa and the Mediterranean theater, British troops wore color khaki drill (KD) shorts or pants with long sleeved shirts Aertex. The tan, pale shadow of EK was more suited to desert or semidesert regions the "dark khaki" or brown serge suit used in war. When the allies moved to Italy, however, two-piece khaki denim overalls team battle as more and more preferred. In 1943, the KD shirt began to be replaced by a more sustainable cotton jacket bush KD.
Far East

In the Far East, the British were at war with the Japanese, while equipped EK uniform practice. Shirts and pants must be dyed green as a temporary solution to the jungle more clothing available. A new tropical uniform of the forest green (JG) quickly developed a battle JG Aertex blouse, jacket JG Aertex Bush (as an alternative to the shirt) and cotton twill pants JG battle. In hot and humid conditions of Southeast Asia, obscured JG the sweat almost immediately.

khaki battle dress was used until late 1960, and various parts of the uniform KD, JG and GL remained on the theme of soldiers serving in the Mediterranean, Middle East and the tropics after the war. In late 1940, however, stocks were depleted, and a new model 1950 – tropical uniforms made available in both KD and JG. It was poorly designed, with a jacket Aertex Bush slandered poor assembly, and ties the straps that dug into her hips when walking kit. Finally, the most practical Gurkha regiments JG shirt has been copied to replace the 1950-model bush jacket. However, troops were still seeking the old-time war, the problems of a better KD, JG and GL kit.
