bicycle / moped issue (legal)?
In New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, DC and MD: If I put an electric hub motor on my bike before, I have to save as I can ride a moped or bicycle (following the proper rules for cycling). The laws seem to talk about the engine size, but if you have a electric motor that still requires that the clutch and the bike has a frame of standard mountain bike, I can walk like a bicycle? In addition, I will not be able to driving away with anyway, since it is always a bike and I have to pedal? Also, I will put the brand, model and VIN?
It's a good question because I asked this issue before. The right engine displacement may play an important role to the extent that the law is concerned.
