La Quinta is luxury oasis in California desert
Guests question of the chicken and the egg often ask La Quinta Resort & Club is what was first: the city of La Quinta or the resort? The answer is no. The Spanish first arrived when you create a base of La Quinta over how the San Gabriel Mission.
Several centuries later, Big Shot arrived in Bay Area Business Walter Morgan, who chose to build La Quinta Resort more or less where the Spanish were based. It was much later that the city of La Quinta was named for the resort – one of the two cities country to be named in this way. The other is Beverly Hills, the name of the famous Beverly Hills station.
The area Morgan chose for his station in the foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains near Palm Springs and today, La Quinta Resort & Club has become an impressive collection of 42 hectares of casitas, golf courses, swimming pools and tennis courts beginner, you need a road map to navigate. Charming Spanish architecture and lush weave a colorful tapestry background of the mountains, making the Quinta Resort & Club, one of the best spa resorts you'll ever see. This is the perfect choice for a California vacation of any length.
Our trip to San Diego in La Quinta was quick and easy to use way back through the barren landscape near Anza, culminating with a wind of 10 miles, lower vehicle at about 5000 feet taking up the desert floor where temperatures were about 20 degrees warmer than the top of the ramp. Any trip Palm Springs during the spring and summer requires a little planning prerequisite for heat management. You show up and stay on the golf course all day temperatures in the triple digits.
The residents of the Palm Springs area have learned time outdoors, so they are relatively cool in the morning. In some cases, activities in the afternoon of work, you know, for example, your course will have shade. A Quinta courses always covered in shadow Santa Rosa Mountains to 15 hours each day.
"Managing the weather here is just a matter of keeping hydrated and wearing sunscreen," says Sarah Harper, director Corporate Communications, La Quinta. "And the nights here are so incredibly nice."
We reached an unusually hot weekend for Spring – scored the highest 108 degrees – but we realized that the heat really did not feel uncomfortable in the early afternoon. As they say, is a dry heat in the Palm Springs area, and the time 90 degrees in the morning I felt downright refreshing.
But there is no doubt that his time at La Quinta Resort & Club – is whatever the time of the year – is related to involve a serious fall in one of the 42 swimming pools complex. No, not a bug – La Quinta not only has 42 swimming pools, but 53 spa resorts. Many of the town houses have their own pool, but other casitas are grouped around one or more groups of average size when it seemed have plenty of space for swimming and ample chairs to accommodate everyone who wanted to throw in the desert sun.
Our "Starlight" casita was a large second floor unit in a two-storey building overlooking one of the pools. Plans in La Quinta offers more than the usual amount of space – 450 square feet or more – And, together with the high ceilings give a feeling of openness. A very comfortable king bed, sofa bed, desk space and entertainment audio / video were in the main room, the swimming area was most comfortable with oversized bathtub shower, double sinks and a separate room in the dresser.
Casitas each are decorated with a touch of the Southwest. Mexico influenced pottery designs, wrought iron mirror frames and bed treatments brown reds and yellows created a fiesta of color in our house from the main square. Out on the deck were lounge chairs, table and umbrella to enjoy the outdoors in privacy.
The house of the buildings are connected by a maze of trails that take you to reach your hotel card. These trails are also a main road for golf carts and bicycles and the engine mounted station employees as they develop throughout the vast complex that totals 800 casitas altogether.
Back when Walter Morgan first station built in 1926, the plan of the station was a bit more modest – only 20 houses, but has involved the construction of the first golf valley. La Quinta Resort has been created to lure Hollywood stars to the Coachella Valley, where he could leave the study and relax in private life – which of course was something to do with why the Palm Springs area became popular with Hollywood stars.
At La Quinta, the list of Hollywood stars was impressive – as Clark lminaries Gable, Bette Davis, Errol Flynn, Katherine Hepburn, Eddie Cantor and Shirley Temple were accustomed. Greta Garbo had a house on the property, and Frank Capra wrote many of his scripts in the same Quinta La casita that today has his typewriter and one of his scripts awaiting the fate of rent reviews in particular casita.
Hollywood stars still come to La Quinta today because, as many properties KSL Resorts, the hotel is situated in a campus style that allows a celebrity to avoid going to through a main entrance or elevator – the stars just right hand drive their casitas, parking a few steps, then lost to season during their stay. This agreement is also beneficial for tourists every day who do not want to be bothered by convention and other group activities, when the conventions were held in La Quinta, which remain in areas where regular customers are not likely to even know they are there.
famous athletes, are also in abundance – especially tennis players. La Quinta tennis pro Mike Casey has relationships with many world class players who regularly train in La Quinta. With 23 courts – clay, grass and hard surface – the resort has become popular also for ordinary people who simply want to improve your tennis game. Many courts are illuminated, which means that players can handle the heat in Palm Springs playing at night.
For golfers, La Quinta offers five courses, including three designated as PGA West.
For those of us who just want to relax and enjoy great food in La Quinta – as far as we could tell – fills the bill, too. We only had time to test the Adobe Grill – which serves delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine – but the station is also Morgan, a steakhouse High quality, Le Bernardin and Blue Spa Cuisine Seafood Bistro, a spa that offers to make your stay as healthy as it was fun. In fact, including fields golf, seven restaurants La Quinta.
Spa La Quinta is a top attraction in La Quinta – offers its guests plenty of attention created by the first inhabitants in the region. One the best spas in Southern California, the station focuses on spa treatments outside under the desert sky to add to the serenity and relaxing experience. Inside the spa, there is also the Yamaguchi Salon, which is internationally renowned for the cutting and coloring techniques that integrate philosophy Asia Feng Shui in these services. Those who enjoy spa vacations will enjoy La Quinta.
