Was Schwinn Stingrays made in 1982?

I have a Schwinn stingray and according to the serial number and what I’ve researched it’s a 1982 (serial:LS******) .My dilemma is ,I’m not sure if stingray’s were made in 1982 . I thought the last (vintage models) were made in 80. I think the frame is a Schwinn , it has Schwinn decals it says stingray on the bicycle and more notably have the Schwinn “patch” (or w.e it’s called) right under the handlebars between the forks. I have this bike and a grey ghost and I plan on selling one and if this isn’t authentic , I don’t want to advertise it as so. Below are links to actual pictures of the bike . Thanks in advance!
